Education Website and Learning Platform Development

Admissions that do not collapse in season, portals parents can actually use, and learning platforms built for the bandwidth your students really have.

The short answer

Education — what actually matters

Education platforms have two demanding moments: the admission window, when traffic and form submissions spike far above normal, and the daily grind of a portal used by students, parents and staff who all need different things from the same data.

We build for both — infrastructure sized for the enrolment peak rather than the average, and role-separated interfaces so a parent sees their child's attendance without wading through an administrator's dashboard.

Where it goes wrong

Common challenges

If several of these describe your situation, the problem is usually structural rather than cosmetic.

  • Admission enquiries handled on paper and lost between departments
  • The site failing exactly when the admission window opens
  • Parents phoning the office for information a portal could answer
  • Course content scattered across drives, email and messaging apps
  • Fee collection and reconciliation done manually
  • Platforms that assume a laptop and reliable broadband
  • No usable view of student progress across a cohort

What it needs

Digital requirements

Admissions and enquiry

Enquiry capture, application forms, document upload and status tracking that survives the seasonal peak.

Student and parent portals

Attendance, timetables, results, fees and notices, with each role seeing only what applies to them.

Course delivery

Structured content, video, downloads and assessments organised so students can find them.

Assessment and reporting

Quizzes, assignments, grading and progress reporting at student and cohort level.

Fee management

Online payment, instalments, receipts and reconciliation.

Communication

Announcements and alerts by email, SMS or app, targeted by class, cohort or role.

Capability

What we build for education

  • Online admission with document upload and status tracking
  • Student, parent and staff portals
  • Attendance and timetable management
  • Assignments, quizzes and grading
  • Video lessons with progress tracking
  • Fee payment, instalments and receipts
  • Certificates and transcripts
  • Cohort and institution-level reporting

Worth being clear about

Compliance and data

Education platforms hold data about minors, which raises the stakes on access control and retention. We build parental consent capture, role-scoped access and defined retention rules. Any statutory obligation specific to your institution or board should come from your own advisers.

Questions

Education — frequently asked

Can you build an LMS or should we buy one?

Buy, in most cases. Moodle, Canvas and the commercial platforms cover standard teaching well and come with maintenance included. Custom is worth it when your delivery model genuinely does not fit — unusual assessment logic, a specific commercial model, or deep integration with systems you already run.

Will the site cope with admission-season traffic?

That is an infrastructure decision made in advance. We size caching, database capacity and hosting against your expected peak, and load-test before the window opens rather than discovering the ceiling during it.

Can parents and students have different access?

Yes, and they should. Role-based access is fundamental here — parents, students, teachers and administrators each see a different slice of the same data.

Does it work on low-end phones and slow connections?

It has to. Many students access on mid-range Android over patchy mobile data, so we test on that rather than on a fast laptop, and keep video adaptive.

Can we collect fees online?

Yes — payment gateway integration with instalments, automated receipts and reconciliation reporting for your accounts team.
