Team augmentation
Hire Indian Developers for Your Qatar Team
A dedicated team in India for a Qatari organisation. Four shared working days, named engineers you interview, and an honest account of where the model breaks.
The short answer
Can a Qatari organisation hire developers in India?
Yes. Haqto provides dedicated development teams from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India to organisations in Qatar. The engineers stay our employees; they work to your priorities, in your repository and your cloud accounts.
We hold no Qatari commercial registration, entity or local agent, and we do not place people on client premises. If your procurement route requires a locally registered supplier or local headcount, this does not satisfy it and we will say so immediately.
Why teams do this
Why Qatari organisations do this
Qatar's domestic pool of specialist software engineers is small relative to demand, and competing for it means competing with government entities, the energy sector and the large institutions — which are not easy to outbid on either salary or stability. For an organisation that needs sustained engineering capacity rather than a single project, building that capacity locally can take longer than the initiative it was meant to support. A dedicated offshore team is one answer to that, and it is a better answer for ongoing platform and product work than for anything requiring physical presence. Qatarization policy also shapes local hiring decisions in some sectors; how it applies to you is a question for your own advisers rather than for a supplier. The working-week arithmetic is the honest constraint here: Qatar runs Sunday to Thursday, we run Monday to Friday, and that leaves four fully shared days rather than five.
How it works
What you actually get
Named engineers, not resources
You know who is on the team, you interview them, and they do not rotate without your agreement.
Four shared days, used deliberately
Monday to Thursday overlap fully. Sunday is used for asynchronous progress and written handover so your week opens with something to review.
Your repository, your accounts
Your GitHub or GitLab organisation and your cloud accounts from day one, in whichever region your contract requires.
Documentation as standard
Institutional work needs a written trail. We produce it as part of the work rather than assembling it before an audit.
Security questionnaires answered properly
With real answers. We will not claim a certification we do not hold in order to pass a procurement filter.
Exit without drama
Notice period, handover documentation, and nothing to extract because you already hold it.
Where this does not fit
Where this is the wrong answer
Three situations where we would tell you not to do this. If your procurement route mandates a locally registered supplier or counts local headcount, an offshore team does not satisfy it — that is a hard limit and finding it at evaluation stage wastes everyone's time. If the work requires people on-site in Doha, we do not place staff on client premises and will not subcontract someone to appear as though we do. And if you need only occasional work, the context cost outweighs the benefit and a project engagement is the better shape. Beyond that, be realistic about the four-day overlap: it works well for sustained development but badly for anything needing five days of live collaboration a week, and we would rather set that expectation now than manage a complaint about it later.

Questions
Questions about a dedicated team in India
Does this satisfy a local supplier requirement?
No. We have no Qatari commercial registration, entity or local agent, and a dedicated offshore team does not change that. If your procurement route requires a locally registered supplier, we are not eligible and we will tell you in the first conversation.
How do four shared days work in practice?
Monday to Thursday overlap completely. Your Sunday is our weekend, so we use it for asynchronous progress and written handover, meaning your week opens with something to review rather than with a status meeting. Our Friday is your weekend and we do not schedule into it.
Can we interview the developers?
Yes, and you should. You are committing to a team for months; knowing who is on it is reasonable. If someone is not right, we will propose someone else.
Can the team work to our security requirements?
Within what is honestly achievable remotely, yes — access controls, device policy, repository restrictions and documented process. What we will not do is claim a certification we do not hold. Tell us the requirements early so we can say what we can and cannot meet.
Do we need to set anything up in India?
No. The engineers are our employees in India and you contract with Haqto for the team. There is no sponsorship, no entity and no employment obligation on your side.
Who owns the code?
You do, on payment, with assignment in the contract. It sits in your repository and your cloud accounts throughout.
Can data stay in a specific region?
Yes, where your contract requires it. That is an architecture decision made at the start, and we will tell you what it costs in latency, price and available services rather than deciding quietly.
What is the minimum engagement?
Around three months and at least one full-time engineer. Below that the context transfer costs more than the output is worth, and we would rather point you at a project engagement than take the work.
